Most people experience a city at walking speed. We rarely notice the rhythms that emerge over hours instead of seconds, or the subtle patterns hidden within everyday movement. Time-lapse photography has the remarkable ability to reveal these invisible layers of time, transforming the familiar into something unexpected.

Figures in a Landscape is a contemplative short film set in the Dutch bulb region. The landscape is approached through painterly frames, where fields of color unfold as layered planes. Flowers and soil form shifting bands across the horizon, while the camera remains still, allowing the land to exist as a living composition.

Commissioned by Edge, we documented the redevelopment of the ABN AMRO home base in Amsterdam, one of the most ambitious office redevelopments in Europe.  The film documents not just the architecture, but the people and ideas behind this major shift in workplace thinking.

Quiet realism. Nature observed.

Memory Fields is a contemplative landscape film that captures quiet scenes from the Dutch countryside. Shot in the Waterland region just north of Amsterdam, the project combines slow cinema techniques with ambient field recordings and an original score, creating a meditative audiovisual experience.

What drives an artist to create? Where do ideas come from, and how does creativity take shape in everyday life? These are some of the questions explored in Catching Ideas, an ongoing video interview series in which I meet with artists from a wide range of creative disciplines to talk about their work, inspiration, and personal creative journeys.

The CubeHouse, a prestigious wood construction office building that is being realised in Amsterdam. This episode was filmed on location in the woods, at the WIEHAG factory in Austria, and during the early development of the construction site in Amsterdam.
