Catching Ideas
What drives an artist to create? Where do ideas come from, and how does creativity take shape in everyday life? These are some of the questions explored in Catching Ideas, an ongoing video interview series in which I meet with artists from a wide range of creative disciplines to talk about their work, inspiration, and personal creative journeys.
From sculptors and painters to filmmakers, musicians, writers, and designers, each episode offers an intimate conversation about the artistic process and the different ways creativity manifests itself. Rather than focusing solely on finished work, the series aims to uncover the thoughts, routines, struggles, and moments of inspiration that exist behind the scenes.
Every artist approaches creativity differently. Some work intuitively, others conceptually. Some draw inspiration from everyday life, while others are shaped by memory, music, nature, or experimentation. Through these conversations, Catching Ideas reveals the diversity of creative thinking and offers a personal glimpse into the minds of artists.
The series currently consists of four episodes, with more conversations and perspectives to come. Whether you are an artist yourself or simply curious about the creative process, Catching Ideas invites you to explore how ideas emerge and evolve across disciplines.
