Field Recording
Field recording is one of the many aspects of filmmaking that I enjoy practising. Recording sounds yourself can add an extra layer of authenticity to your projects. Personally, I find it a rewarding practice; discovering interesting sounds in the city or nature is both relaxing and challenging. I incorporate these location recordings into both my own film projects and commissioned work.
Vanishing Points, A Hymn of Spires - Coming Soon
An excerpt from the upcoming short film Vanishing Points. A contemplative short film capturing the tension between Amsterdam’s historic vertical architecture and the flux of modern urban life. Set to an original score and field recordings, the film portrays the city’s church spires as quiet witnesses.

A mosaic of composed works drawn from commissions, sessions, and solitary studio hours. Each track is distinct in shape, held together by tone and intention. The project leans into a warm, vintage electro-acoustic aesthetic, embracing imperfection and organic detail.
Memory Fields · Scenes From a Quiet Country
Quiet realism. Nature observed.
Memory Fields is a contemplative landscape film that captures quiet scenes from the Dutch countryside. Shot in the Waterland region just north of Amsterdam, the project combines slow cinema techniques with ambient field recordings and an original score, creating a meditative audiovisual experience.
Analog Rework of a Hymn - Prophet 5 Plays Picardy
Held in Silence is a reinterpretation of the hymn Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence. Its melody, Picardy, is a French folk tune that dates back to the 17th century and was later arranged by Ralph Vaughan Williams in The English Hymnal (1906). The composition is arranged by Silver Sonnet for the Prophet 5 and a Vermona Lancet Mono.

A cinematic look at a monumental industrial development from the 20th century and contemporary life in its surroundings. The film is part of a long-term project combining film and photographic work.
