Vanishing Points, A Hymn of Spires

Fragment: Vanishing Points, A Hymn of Spires.

An excerpt from the upcoming short film Vanishing Points (October 2025). This fragment presents a single shot from Amsterdam Central Station, with the Basilica of Saint Nicholas in view.

The music is a reinterpretation of the hymn Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence. Its melody, Picardy, is a French folk tune that dates back to the 17th century and was later arranged by Ralph Vaughan Williams in The English Hymnal (1906).

In this version, the hymn is transformed into an ambient treatment using layered samples of bowed Grand Marimbas.
