Vanishing Points · A Hymn of Spires
Filmed in Amsterdam between 2025 and 2026, Vanishing Points uses tightly composed, locked-off frames to capture the city’s church spires as steady figures in a landscape.
Set to an original score and layered with stereo field recordings, the film creates immersive audiovisual cityscapes that invite viewers to look again, and more slowly, at what endures.
Field Recording
Field recording is one of the many aspects of filmmaking that I enjoy practising. Recording sounds yourself can add an extra layer of authenticity to your projects. Personally, I find it a rewarding practice; discovering interesting sounds in the city or nature is both relaxing and challenging. I incorporate these location recordings into both my own film projects and commissioned work.
Memory Fields · Scenes From a Quiet Country
Quiet realism. Nature observed.
Memory Fields is a contemplative landscape film that captures quiet scenes from the Dutch countryside. Shot in the Waterland region just north of Amsterdam, the project combines slow cinema techniques with ambient field recordings and an original score, creating a meditative audiovisual experience.
