I’m a filmmaker, camera and drone operator based in Amsterdam, with a background in photography. My experience as a photographer laid the foundation for my passion for visual storytelling, which naturally evolved into creating short films.

What I do

I handle the entire filmmaking process, from concept to final edit. For larger productions, I often collaborate with trusted fellow filmmakers. Every project calls for a unique approach, but my goal is always the same: to create films that resonate, both visually and in substance.

Visual style

My work is defined by a strong focus on visual storytelling, with cinematography and composition always serving the narrative. I aim for a cinematic, layered visual language that makes an impact, both aesthetically and in terms of content.

Personal work

Alongside commissioned projects, I develop short films and multimedia projects under the name Silver Sonnet.

Education

I studied portrait and documentary photography at the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam, graduating cum laude in 2008.

Ik ben filmmaker, camera- en drone-operator, gevestigd in Amsterdam, met een achtergrond in fotografie. Vanuit mijn ervaring als fotograaf heb ik mijn passie voor visuele verhalen verder ontwikkeld tot het maken van korte films.

Wat ik doe

Ik begeleid het hele proces: van het eerste idee tot de eindmontage. Voor grotere producties werk ik vaak samen met makers uit mijn vertrouwde kring. Elke film vraagt om een eigen aanpak, maar mijn doel blijft hetzelfde: een film maken die raakt, visueel en inhoudelijk.

Visuele stijl

Mijn stijl wordt gekenmerkt door een sterke focus op visuele storytelling, waarbij cinematografie en compositie altijd in dienst staan van het verhaal. Ik streef naar een filmische, gelaagde beeldtaal die zowel esthetisch als inhoudelijk impact maakt.

Eigen werk

Naast mijn werk aan opdrachtfilms ontwikkel ik ook eigen korte films en multimediale projecten. Deze produceer ik onder de projectnaam Silver Sonnet.

Opleiding

Ik heb portret- en documentairefotografie gestudeerd aan de Fotoacademie in Amsterdam, waar ik in 2008 cum laude ben afgestudeerd.
